Samantha Cabral, surface pattern designer, Austin TX

Hello, I'm Samantha

Art and code,
finally friends.

I'm a surface pattern designer and Ruby on Rails developer based in Austin, TX — a mom of two who somehow ended up at the intersection of watercolor painting and software engineering.

My patterns start the same way every time: a pot of tea, a brush loaded with gouache, and a reference folder full of things that feel beautiful and old. The digital part comes later.

On the code side, I build tools that give creatives their time back — Adobe scripts that automate the tedious parts of running a design business, so you can spend more hours making and fewer hours formatting.
